Silent CPU cooler for Phenom II quad core / FX octo core? (including 125 watt)

Simple enough, I have several clone boxes, mostly based on Phenom II quad cores, with one using an FX octo core, and one using an Athlon II X4 quad core. One of them (The Athlon II) is in the master bedroom, and the remainder are in the home office where I do some recording / voice / bass guitar work.

The power supply fans are more than tolerable, but the noise from the CPU fans is getting to be a bit much.

I am looking for advice on silent, or at least quiet CPU fans for these chips. I would figure since they are all AM3 they should be able to use the same cooler.

The biggest concern I have is that it has been so long since I built a quiet / silent PC, that I am not up to date on coolers, cases etc... (My last one was an Athlon XP with that giant mushroom shaped Zalmann cooler with a slow RPM massive fan hung overhead). I am specifically looking for something that will handle the 125w chips, not just the lower wattage models (95 watt if I recall...).

You might want to do some research at www.silentpcreview.com.
Here is a link ot their cpu cooler recommendations: http://www.silentpcreview.com/Recommended_Heatsinks
I recently installed a Noctua NH-D14 and am very pleased(but it is huge).
On low speed, it is all but inaudible.

But, beware.
Once you get on the quiet computing kick, there is no end to it.
You will next be looking at gold rated psu's with fans that hardly run.

Like I mentioned, I did the silent built years ago. I sort of fell off that wagon as I was trying to build a SAN, and cluster (training lab) on the cheap and fast... Not to mention upgrade my aging desktop PC... Yeah silent builds are addictive, especially if you are doing audio work...
