I know this question has been asked many times, but I'm still not sure! My friend has an i5 Intel processor and his mainboard GPU slot is an PCI-2.0!!!

Now, does for example, a GTX 660 will have the same speed in a PCI-E 2.0 slot as in a PCI-3.0 mainboard slot? Will the PCI-E 2.0 slot mainboard cut the speed of an GTX 660 PCI-E 3.0???

What do you mean? Will my friend have lower fps? I'm buying a gtx 660 too! Look: I will have a gtx 660 and I have an Intel i5 and the GPU slot in my mainboard is PCI-E 3.0 and the GTX 660 is PCI-E 3.0! My friend have only one difference, his GPU slot in his mainboard is PCI-2.0! Will he have lower fps, in games like Battlefield 3 than me?

No.

Although GPU are PCI-E 3.0 they are retrocompatible with PCI-E 2.0. Currently the power even from a Titan or 690 won't be above the PCI-E 2.0 limits. Search for reviews benchmarking GPUs and PCI-e 2.0 vs PCI-e 3.0 and you will find 1% difference to none.

Ok thanks, but to be 100% sure. I would wish if an expert would agree with that! Can we ask an expert somehow that he writes in THIS thread his awnser? Because my friend doesn't really trust this! 200€ is VERY expensive for me and my friend! I know that there is only like 2%-3% difference! But please somebody ask a expert to write his awnser here in this thread! It would be VERY VERY helpful! :D

^^ I'm sorry, I told you it's because my friend dont trust that. But that picture what you posted is a proof enough! I already know that a GPU PCI-E 3.0 works on a 2.0 slot! I just needed a proof for my friend to trust DAT STUFF! ^^ Thanks for all of your help!
