best cpu and compabitable mob

Need adivce on which cpu and motherboard i should buy for my build .
Main use: Normal computing, need to watch movies in great quality and sound. Speed would be good.And something that will still be good a few years from now.
Thanks for any help in this matter.

yes to the graphics card, very light gaming for now. The budget for the whole build is around $1ooo. but dont want to compromise on the cpu and mother board keeping in mind future upgrades. The dollar amount is not set in stone, will just take me longer to build. Thanks for the help
