I have:

Motherboard: Gigabyte H61N-D2V (Edit: I am using the onboard graphics.)
Processor: Intel Pentium G850
TV: Panasonic TX-L26C10B

I can run the PC fine through my T220 Syncmaster using a DVI-DVI cable.

When I try to run the PC via a DVI to HDMI lead on the Panasonic TV, I can see the Gigabyte screen, where it offers choices to enter BIOS etc, but then the screen goes blank.

I have tried altering my windows resolution to 800x600 on the Syncmaster, and then swapping to the Panasonic (albeit, without restarting), and it didn't do anything.

Can these components achieve what I am asking of them?
Am I missing something simple?

Thanks.

what driver are you using for your monitor? try a generic plug and play... also do you have the model of your tv?

TX-L26C10B is the model number.

I was still using the Syncmaster ones, I would have thought it would have fought its way to Windows though :-/ I feel convinced it is a hardware compatibility issue. Can I load it in safe mode, would that use generic drivers? It doesn't even want to enter BIOS, only shows the Gigabyte Flash(?) screen.

It's now working.

My most logical conclusion:

The PC had two hard drives, I removed the original boot drive (I had cloned the drive), and it obviously didn't like it, but I wrongly assumed this was a TV issue (I still can't explain why it refused to go into BIOS, so this explanation does have holes in it). Connecting it all up with my monitor, it went into BIOS fine, and obviously wasn't happy hot-swapping to my TV, but it has working on a fresh reboot.

The screen is a bit out of whack though, it's cropped at the edge on all four sides :(

What driver can I download? My resolution is stuck on 800x600, but I have a 720p TV.

Edit: I'm tired, ignore this, I'll look at it tomorrow, it's almost certainly still using the NVidia drivers from the cloned drive, and I need the onboard graphics driver installed.
