Hello all,

I'm making the upgrade to an i7 from my old quad core Athlon. I have a Microcenter about 45 minutes away so I'm trying to get as many parts as I can from there. I recently discovered their motherboard/CPU combos and their insane savings. I'm torn between either the 3770k with an ASROCK Z77 Extreme4 motherboard, or a 4770k with an MSI Z87-G41 PC Mate. I know that the ASROCK board is all around a better board than the MSI board, but I also know that the 4770k is better than the 3770k. The 3770k combo is $5 more than the 4770k, but that's no big deal. What should I go with?

the 4770k is marginally better than the 3770K, though the MSI board isn't exactly a bad board either. I would compare the features between the two boards and decide if you actually want the extras on the ASROCK extreme 4. build quality wise both are good boards

Thank you. I'm gonna go with the ASROCK board because it has 2 PCI-e 3.0 slots and I'm going to be running a Crossfire configuration.
