Hello everyone,
I am new here. I've been browsing he forums for a little while now, gathering information here and there. I wanted to finally join and share my recent build. This was my first complete build. My last computer was just an HP rom BestBuy from 2007. Since then, I have upgraded the graphics card, power supply, ram and motherboard. Recently, that computer kind of took a crap, more or less, and I decided I wanted a new computer but I wanted to challenge myself and build one on my own.
SO, here is what I have:
Corsair 300R case
Corsair 16gb ram
750w power supply
AMD FX 6 core 3.8ghz processor
Asus GT640 2B graphics card
MSI motherboard (cant remember model, but it was about 90 dollars at Fry's electronics)
1TB HDD
LG Bluray player/ dvd disk burner.
It took me about 6 hours to completely build and configure Windows 7 on. I thoroughly enjoyed building this. I think it's so cool to just buy al tis stuff in pieces and build it into a working PC! My question is, I plan to start playing all my shooter games etc. on this build, and completely give up playing on my Xbox 360. That said, with what I have in this build, should I expect to see better graphics on this when playing games like COD and BF3 than hen playing on my 360? Sorry for the newb questions.
