Probably should have thought about this before, but it just occurred to me. I bought a new system from an online custom place, without a video card, and ordered a video card myself off Amazon (had a amazon credit, and found the same card the computer place offered, for 40 bucks less)... Question is, since the system does not already have a card in it, will I need anything special, like cables or such when I install it myself? I have upgraded cards before, but that was just a matter of unplugging the cables, and the old card, and just putting the new one in, using the same cables the old one did.

Solution
If your Power Supply is the Thermaltake TR2 500W (Link to NewEgg.com below) then it will have a 6pin & 6+2pin connector already. In that case you should not need an adapter.

If it's SLI/Crossfire ready it would HAVE to have at least two PCI-E (6pin or 6+2pin) connectors to be claimed as such. You should be perfectly fine. Just install the video card, connect the require power cables, and hook your monitor to it. Install drivers, and go play.

If the VGA card your purchasing needs external power from the PSU, you will need a 6/8 pin pci and/or a 6/8 pin pci.........Would you mind telling me your power supply and the card ??

The card came with a power cable.. a 4 to 6 pin adapter I think its called. Anyways, its GTX 650 1gb card, by MSI... and the power supply is a THERMALTAKE 500 WATT HIGH PERFORMANCE SLI/CROSSFIRE POWER SUPPLY - sorry about the caps, I copy and pasted that part.

Thanks!

No problem. Since you mentioned you're getting the GTX 650 you should only need a single 6pin PCI-E power connector.
