can i implant fx 6300 over m2n68-am asus. I wanna upgrade my processor. please tell me which will bw a better place to buy a processor a shop or Internet sites

It looks like it's an AM2+ motherboard, the highest model listed on the cpu support list is the 1090t. If you can find one, it's on par with the 6300.

The most readily available processor might be the phenom ii x4 965.

To answer ur question as corbeau said no the fx 6300 will not boot or prob fit in that board, maybe if u had a certain am3 board, but u can update ur bios to take a am3 cpu as mentioned.

Just make sure check with Cpu-z what bios version u have and if so update it to the required or above support

i have the same mobo.well,u cannot mount it on a m2n68-am as its socket is a AM2+ an that of 6300's is AM3+.the best quad core u can get is the phenom x4 960T and for the 6-xore,the best would be x6 1090T(95W)
