PROBLEM: Every so often windows will freeze, Usually when Im download, or installing something, It happened about 5 times when installing Battlefield 3, as my system is meant for gaming, So I reformatted my system, Thinking it was windows, Now I noticed if I don't let Windows updates, install it will go for a few days before I need to reformat again, now im sick of reformatting, as I want to play my games,

I ran memtest to check if it was my ram, It turned out there was no errors, YAY! So I Turned onto the decision its, my HDD, I just bought a WD Caviar Blue, (Black was too expensive) 1tb 64mb cache, I think it is my hdd because I ran hdtune, and it found 2 errors, then crashed, Near 2gb mark....

So I am getting a different, Windows disc from a friend, incase of that being a problem, Now this system is about 6 months old so problems are frustrating me, PLEASE HELP, Is fixing my hdd gonna be enough, If it helps, I get random freezes sometimes when I try to start windows, It sticks at Starting Windows...

Also When I ran Fixboot.exe in windows repair disc, to try and fix the boot freezes, It was saying I don't have windows installed, It says Windows installations Found: 0
So Idk if its windows, or if windows is installed on a bad part of my hdd.

Could It be my PSU, I don't think it is...

I would appreciate any help, I took out my old hdd, and waiting for the WD, thanks..

I tested the old one, and it found 2 errors, near 2gb range, and then crashed, So if its near 2gb, isn't that recovery stuff, so if that is corrupted doesn't that wreck the hdd?
