Might speed it up a bit, but another idea here, What CPU a 2 Core, a 4 Core, what? To speed up your boot process I suggest getting a utility valled WinPatrol, it let's you look at what all is in the startup and unneeded thing like Adobe programs that load snippets of code at startup and just take up DRAM can be disabled, then if you ever decide you need them you can re-enable them....another one, if you have a multi core CPU is to go into MSCONFIG (go to start, type MSCONFIG in the search box, hit enter, then when the window comes up click on the boot tab, click on Advanced and in the upper left is a box, check it and select the highest numeber in the pane which should match up to the number of cores in your CPU save this and close and reboot, should see an increase in booting into Win....By default Win only boots off a single core, doing this allows all cores to get involved in starting things up
