My aspire one notebook crashed and now it wont allow me to get on it tells me to insert and intallation disc and the laptop doesnt even have a disc drive so im trying to figure out a way to get it up and running again. Either with my data or without at this point I dont care.

Can you enter the bios? If so do you see the HDD in there as a boot option or is it missing? Sounds like the HDD failed. If you do see the HDD make sure it is first in boot order. What OS are you using? What exactly do you see? does the bios screen come up then the failure? What exactly does the screen look like with the error is it black with white writing?
The tough part about those acers is some of the old ones need the SATA drivers slipstreamed in the windows installation to allow ahci for the HDD, how old is the notebook? What is the model number i/e d250 or d270?
