i've decided on a 780 but im not sure which i am going to choose. I like the evga and gigabyte ones that have the dual and triple fan setups.but to my understanding they put all the heat back into the case vs stock act as an exhaust fan. is the stock cooler ok for overclocking as i do not wish to personally change the cooler. if i can over clock to the same speeds anyways by the gigabyte with stock cooling from the side i do like the stock lighted logo

Though the 780 and Titan have less terrible reference coolers than most cards, the Windforce x3 blows the reference cooling away (pun absolutely intended), as will the ASUS DirectCU II, once that variant hits shelves. So long as your case has decent airflow, I wouldn't worry too much about waste heat. I run a pair of 7970s with axial fans and my temperatures are all fine, so a single 780 should be no problem in a good case.
