Hey all,

I am looking at investing in a new gaming rig hopefully able to play Battlefield 4 when it comes out soon, smoothly with a FPS rate of around 60+. Info is below:

Budget Range: Cheapest possible but otherwise around $1500 NZD.

System Usage from Most to Least Important: High setting gaming, Video Editing

Parts Not Required: I already own an OS and a 1.5TB HDD and I don't need and thing else like keyboard or mouse etc.

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: I live in New Zealand so parts are most likely more dare here than in the US but an outline of the approx cost would be good.

Country: (e.g.: India) we need to know where these parts are being assembled

Parts Preferences: I perfer the Intel/nVidia combo.

Overclocking: Yes.

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe if its cheap.

Monitor Resolution: 1600x900 but might upgrade to 1920x1080.

Thank you all for your time :)

Indeed it is not. Well shucks. I've been hoping someone else would help out here, as I'm not at all well-versed in Kiwi stores, but I'll give it a shot:

Sorry to be over budget. I was straining to fit a good GPU in with crazy NZ prices as it was.

Edit: I've just noticed that you want to edit video as well. Would you be willing to consider AMD? They're an efficient option for budget-conscious editors.

Still 4 months till the game comes out. No point in building a system for it now. By that time HD8000 series and Steamroller might be out. If you don't need it at the moment, don't waste your money.

I suspect he was using BF4 as a target for performance, not as his singular goal. However, if this is solely for BF4, I quite agree.
