Solution

Its based on memory standards. 1333 stands for DDR3 PC3-10600. And you can also find out with model name and number anytime.

Hi,

Use the utility from memorystock.com

Their direct link for the utility is http://www.memorystock.com/memscanner/SysInfo.exe

No need to install, just run the above application and it will show the speed and size, slots and so on. Based on the speed, you can find out the existing memory type.

Good luck!

Can you tell me your model name and number or run the application and copy and paste the scan report here, I'll try to explain it to you.

Or even you can try CPU-Z utility.

So, you have 3 modules installed. 4 GB, 8 GB, and another 4 GB. All are of 1333 MHz which is DDR3 PC3-10600 memory type.

If you want to upgrade, or need memory specifications, then check this link:
