I have been working to build my new machine and I bought the ASUS P8B75-M/CSM with the i5-3570K processor. I did research and asked Geek Squad and ASUS and they both told me these are compatible with along with my Corsair CX600 PSU and Crucial 4GB DDR3 133 (PC3 10600) x 4 ram.

Here's the thing. I've read about the memOK issue (mine does but then after I clear it, it boots up) and I've read about people not booting at all. I got on support with ASUS and he walked me through the whole deal and i took it out of the case, left one stick of ram in, unplugged everything else, and then it did the same thing. It just wouldn't read the hd, cddrive, etc after I took these off. Well, he tells me to return it. I returned it, bought a new one and waited for it to ship, and now here I am in the same dilemma. I put it all together outside of the case to avoid hassle and it boots up fine, finds all of the proper hardware plugged in, but does not let me go past the UEFI BIOS Utility (setup) EZ Mode. When I click save & reset it just keeps rebooting it seems showing the black screen with the ASUS logo and then blinks off, and comes back in about a second. It just keeps doing that type of reboot. The fans don't stop, nothing sounds like a full shut down... it just reboots at the first screen and gives me the option to re-enter setup.

Can anyone help me understand what is going on? I'm baffled and I feel I've looked everywhere. I saw a thread here that was very thorough so hopefully someone can assist me.

Thanks in advance!

How am I to update the bios through Windows? I can't get to Windows, only the first black screen with the ASUS logo and the ability to go into the UEFI BIOS Utility EZ Mode as an option (press F2 or DEL to enter setup). Is there a way I can do this?

u have to download the latest version of bios for ur motherboard from any other pc and then try to flash the bios from a usb flash drive, otherwise get it to service center, they will instantly flash your bios to the latest version...:)

Alright - this is what I've done. I found the latest BIOS version and flashed it to the motherboard via the BIOS EZ Flash. It asked if I was sure I wanted to upgrade the BIOS and I clicked yes. It installed, said it needed to reboot, and now after I did a memOK it boots up and now just flashes through boot modes (not even showing the black ASUS logo screen anymore). Just a black screen that flickers. I swear I think it's the motherboard and I'm definitely getting a better kind if I have to exchange this as well. I always thought ASUS was a great brand for motherboards. Anyone know what's going on?

then.it's the mobo,it's a faulty one.It sometimes depends on luck bro..asus is a good manufacturer, just try it one time again by restoring the default bios ver. of the mobo,if this time also it happens then get it for servicing/replacement :).My mobo also shows a flickering asus logo sometimes on startup..
