So I fixed my P5LD2, running pentium 4, 3.Ghz 3Gigs of ram, now the Asus site says only PCB R2.0 or higher supports core 2 duo, how do I find out if I have that or higher? And does anyone know where to find a list of the graphics cards it can support, I currently have ati radeon 1050 series so its in need of an upgrade.

Look on the motherboard, it will be written somewhere on the pcb, or maybe on the box near the serial number or maybe when it boots up on the bios screen it will say.

If it has a PCI-E slot it takes any PCI-E graphics card, although anything more than a 7750 would be a waste of money because it would be bottlenecked by the cpu. Hope this helps.

Are you saying I should be looking in the Hd 7000 series?

I'm asking because I don't know which one is the revision to see whether it can handle core 2 duo.. :$

That's what it means, but be careful, not all core 2 duo's will work. Only the models listed in the cpu support list.

Seriously though, you could get a new much faster cpu, mobo and 4gb ddr3 for about $170. Less when the stuff is on sale.

I saw this Ivy Bridge Pentium G combo, super cheap. Questionable psu, but I'm sure it'll work till you get a video card and upgrade the psu then. This would be 3-4x faster than what you have now and quite capable for gaming with a graphics card. The cpu graphics are probably better than the video card you have now.

$249 after $20 rebate
