I've been waiting forever to get a new GPU in the $300 price range. Everytime I see a great deal I seem to miss out on out it so I was going to wait untill the GTX 760s come out, but now I read they will only have 1152 CUDA cores, 96 TMUs which puts them below a GTX 670, which I can get right now for about $300.

Since the 760 looks like it will be somewhere between a 660ti and a 670, and will probably be $250+ should I just get a 670 for $300?

well you can't really just count the cores to tell its performance. If you can find a great deal on the 670 get it now. otherwise i would wait until the 760 comes out to see how it performs. Also there would be a price drop by then.

dude.. if you have been waiting you can wait 1 more week for sure to get things straight. 760 is estimated to launch of 25th of June, after that you decide.

That was my original plan, but $300 seems like a pretty good price for a 670 and I didn't want it to turn out that the 760 is less powerful (which is looks like it might be) and then I miss the deal on the 670. You think they will go even cheaper?

IF you can get a GTX670 like ASUS GeForce GTX 670 Direct CU II TOP 2 GB for $300 then you can't go wrong with this price. But w8 five days. We might get surpriced and GTX760 has equal or better performance with 670 so it should be a better buy. There are some GTX780 that because of much higher clocks because of their better than Titan cooling can provide performance similar or better than Titan. (like EVGA's ACX SC version: TPU HC)
So my advise. Wait a week :) .

Actually the card I'm looking at is the NON-TOP version of the Asus Direct CU II GTX 670. Waiting does seem like the smartest thing, I've just been burned so many times already. Waited too long, and then the card went back up $50+ in price. If I miss the deal and If the 760 ends up below the 670 in performance I could end up waiting all the way untill the new AMD cards come out. Thanks though, I'll probably wait. In a best case scenerio the 760 will somehow kick ass.
