Help! CPU Overheating!!

So my CPU is running at a whopping 68 degrees C :(. I know this is terrible but I really have no idea how to fix it! I just cleaned my build and saw a 1-2 degree decrease, but it's still running at dangerous levels. I have an intake fan on the bottom, the top, and a exhaust fan out the back (also the psu). I am still using the heat sink that came with my intel i5, but only because i'm unsure that a new one will fit my Thermaltake Commander Snow case! Open to all suggestions. :)

Well my cpu fan is running at 2000rpm, and all my other 3 fans are running at about 1000rpm. I get 68c when I turn it on and look at the BIOS temp reading, so I would assume idle...

Oh yeah then jeez, thats a little warm for idle. Try cleaning out the dust in the heatsink fans, and all over the inside of your case.

Is this is first time you've notice the temperature at all, or has it recently started running hotter than it used to? If it's always been hot with the stock cooler, you should probably think about getting a better cooler or a better-ventilated case. If it's only recently started running hot AND you've cleaned all the dust out of the heatsink, fans, air filters, etc, then it sounds like there's something else going on.

Will that make the intake/ exhaust unbalanced?

Right now, the two intakes are working against each other. Blowing into the case from opposite directions. We want to move air through the case, not just blow it around.
Try it and see what happens.

But whatever reason it is, 68C at idle is way too high.

So I got a desktop monitor for the CPU temp, and it said 61ish when I walked away for a bit... Then jumped to 71 during use. I'll try the fan now and see what happens!

You have 3 fans - it can't really be "balanced". You either have more intake (positive pressure) or more exhaust (negative pressure). You could change the top fan to exhaust and the rear fan to intake. That will blow cool air to the CPU and draw the hot air from the whole case out through the top. However, it's very unlikely this will improve your temps more than 5 degrees. If your CPU is idling at 68 you have a more fundamental issue.

So I changed the top fan to exaust and I also applied some new thermal paste. It is hovering around 60-72 depending on what I do.... Any other suggestions? When I'm not doing anything it's about 60. Is it a heat sink problem?

Is there any dust in the case? Dust is horrible for heat.

I installed the cooler (Size of a pea) firmly locked down (I don't think it was before, so that helped my temp i'm sure) I'm currently not overclocked.... I want to in the future but I'm going nowhere with these temps.
