Between the 3570k and 4670k i can get a 4670k pc build like 50 bucks cheaper with new eggs combos.

But is haswell goood? i hear its ocing isint as good and it runs extremly hot? is this true? what should i base my system around if im buying from scratch?

haswell isn't worth the additional 50,- so go ivy.

First thing to consider is your budget. $50 on CPU is a steep climb, and you also have to account for the motherboard. So let's just say $30 there. That $80. I would invest in a better GPU if possible if I am building a gaming rig.

So base it around your budget and what the build is for. Build it with Haswell then if it is not affordable, try Ivy.

i have identical builds build on pcpart picker only difrence is mobo and cpus and the haswell build is 50 CHEAPER then the ivy so if im looking at budget then should i go with 4670k cuz its cheaper? newegg has amazing combos right now for haswell im saving like 80 bucks on the mobo

So it dosent get hot enough to make it a bad option for gameing? or to hurt my system or possible shorten its lifespan compared to some other cpu?

thats what i was realy worrys about i keep hearing people calling ti a "toaster" or saying it gets hotter then the 8350 which i know gets realy hot so i was worryed.

one last question think buying a set up like haswell and a good mobo like i have chosen with a mid range gpu like the 7870 i chose is a better option then a lower end cpu and a higher end gpu say like a low end locked i5 or a 6300 and a 7950?

the 8350 doesn't get really hot the max you want it to be is 62C but you will only reach that when oc'ing(with an aftermarket cooler) the i5 is getting hotter but will never get too hot(when not oc'ing).

What games do you play because intel outperforms amd in mmo's and skyrim(and most likely other bethesda games) in the rest of the games (most of the time) the difference between intel and amd wouldn't be noticible and then it is gpu>cpu. I suggest looking at the hd 7870 xt(tahiti le) because it's based on a hd 79xx chip and will perform much better then the hd 7870 and very close to a hd 7950 without being expensive.

skyrim is one of the main game si wana play and elderscrolls online when its released as well as like league of legends and guild wars. Some first person shooters like battlefield and call of duty and some rpgs and alot of emulators of older systems

I think you should consider an i5 then if you can afford a hd 7870 xt(hd 7870 will also be good) with it. With amd it is still very good playable (60+ fps) A lot of emulators probably use only 1 core so again intel would be better here. In cod and battlefield there wont be any difference.

defenatly, like I said before it's way better then the hd 7870 because of it's hd 79xx architecture without being expensive. This card is just the best bang for the buck.
