Solved NZXT Phantom 410 fan controller installation inquiry Tags: Cases Fan Cable Components Fan Controller Last response: June 20, 2013 11:43 AM in Components Share WolfDale7 June 20, 2013 11:08:48 AM This is my first time working with a fan controller and I want to make sure everything goes smoothly... The cable to the right is the one from the fan connector and the one to the left is a PSU molex. I've been under the impression that the fan controller cable connector should have four pins that fit into the molex, but it's only three in this case... Is something up? Regardless, they still fit together. Just want to make sure that the fan controller that came with the case isn't a bad one... Is the fan controller supposed to be a 3 pin molex? Or is the missing pin a manufacturing defect? Fan controllers only require 12v. Reply to makkem Best solution Eximo June 20, 2013 11:24:49 AM 4 pin molex carries 5V+ 12V+ and two neutral(ground) wires. If the fan controller only requires 12 volts they could have opted to leave the 5V line out, or vice versa. Does it work? Reply to Eximo Can't find your answer ? Ask !
