Any help, trying to save as much money as possible, needs to be low profile.

Thanks,

What speed RAM? 1600mhz?

EDIT: No chance anyway, cheapest you can get 2x4gb of RAM is about £46, and that's low-quality stuff.

Save up for some Corsair XMS3. Approx £55 for 2x4gb.

Is this DDR2? DDR3? SODIMM? We need more information than the size and speed.

It was DDR3 1600mhz, the standard for a gaming pc, but looks like I'm paying £45-£50 for it, remember seeing XMS3 for £40 2x4GB, £50 now, I'll just have to deal with it.

Aiye, RAM has increased in price a lot in the UK. 6 months ago, I purchased 2x4gb Kingston RAM for around £38. It's about £55 now. I have no idea why RAM is getting so expensive.

http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=2308384 Essentially Microsoft's fault, PC sales went down because Windows 8 received bad reviews and manufacturers slowed production because of this.
