I was messing around with an old Dell T3400 Workstation I found, and when i ran prime95, the temps were as follows:

Core 0 - Idle: 39C Under load: 82C
Core 1 - Idle: 39C Under load: 82C
Core 2 - Idle: 36C Under load: 73C
Core 3 - Idle: 35C Under load: 71C

I think thats a little high as intel recommends a temp of 70C. Is it damaging the computer? What should i do to fix it

This recommended temperature is for a different sensor reading, not the ones you are looking at. Intel doesn't officially provide maximum temperatures for the cores of desktop CPUs, nor do they really need to since it's almost impossible to kill a modern CPU with heat alone.

Your temps, assuming they are accurate (which they're not and are not designed to be), are fine for Prime95 loads.

Those temps aren't too bad at all. but if you are concerned, you can open up your case and clean out any dust, particularly the heatsink fan on the cpu.
