So, I'm sorry if this is the wrong section, BUT, I was looking at the x79 extreme11 mobo and it said something about dual ethernet lan. My question is, it seemed to say that I could have TWO ethernet cables and it would read it as only one cable, BUT, the transfer speed for internet would be TWICE as fast. Am I correct?

I don't think so, the speed of the internet is based on your modem type not how many cables you got.

Sort of, you should be able to bridge the lan ports thus doubling the capability to pass more traffic if you are renting a big pipe from your ISP.
