My friends Toshiba Quasmio x775 (or something, i know its 775)

Is periodically disconnecting during video calls when they attempt to play a game at the same time, be it World of Warcraft or any other game. It's starting to get pretty annoying and they aren't very good with computers so I'm trying to help them.

Tried the following:
Tested wireless signal, it's fantastic. There's a repeater in their house as well. Full strength signal.
Updated drivers
Virus scans
Windows updates
Connected to the 5GHz wifi

Soon as they turn on the webcam the packetloss hits in waves, it'll be alright then WAM, lots of lag. Then WAM again, disconnected.

What else can we try here? There's a playstation connected to the network and it doesn't have any issues.

25-35 mbps down 6-10 up depending on the hour of the day - Comcast, i know.. they are awful, but let me explain. Their packet loss is flawless with webcam off, they have great latency until the webcam goes on and the connection will randomly just drop. Wireless signal goes to 0, it's like they hit the wifi button on their laptop or something (they arent), just gotta wait a few seconds till it pops back up.

Theres no other torrents or anything going when this happens. Nothing clogging the connection,

I got them to run ping tests with winmtr to the wow server we play on with webcam on and webcam off. Webcam off was 0% packet loss, webcam on the packet loss was nearly 40%.

Dafuq?

I found the driver website for this laptop, ima get them to download the webcam application maybe they can change the quality in there..

Is this a 3D model with two cameras? What program are they using to start the camera?

Is is located at C:\Program Files (x86)\TOSHIBA\TOSHIBA Web Camera Application\TWebCamera.exe?

If not try downloading http://cdgenp01.csd.toshiba.com/content/support/downloads/tc30380700b.exe

I also found from Google :
"Have you looked at Start/All Programs/Toshiba/Utilities/Web Camera Application Help?

I notice looking at the specs for your machine that a Utility called "Toshiba 3D Stereo Webcam Application" is listed there. It is probably also listed under Utilities like the above and may have a separate Help file.

I looked in your User's Guide located here and was appalled that the 3D Webcam is not even mentioned there!"

BTW, How much RAM is in this box?

Their model doesnt have the 3d webcam. I think they are the quasmio 775 q7272 model, just a normal webcam...

Could there be something in the router messing this up? Some sort of QoS filtering? I Doubt that'd kill the signal though.

Maybe the wireless receiver in the laptop is shotty? I guess you can't replace a network card in a laptop huh..
