I have had bf3 for a year almost to the day. But recently I have found it difficult to play due low FPS
. I have always experienced occasional FPS drops but now the FPS is almost always below 30. I know that I have an old pc with pretty bad specs but i used to be able to play with out too much lag (I have seen the FPS get into the 50s ). I am happy to play with the lowest graphics settings and low resolution (i have a CRT monitor so 800x600 is fine). I would be very happy with a solid 30 FPS. If i could find a better cpu compatible with my DG31PR mother board I would upgrade but it seems like there are none left. But i don't have much money to spend on computers so a new pc is out of the question. My PC matches the system requirements on the DVD case so I don't know why i get such bad performance. I want any tips or suggestions that could help me reach my goal of a solid 30 FPS on bf3 without buying a new pc.

RAM: DDR2 2GB
GPU: nVidia GeForce, GT 240, 1GB
Mother Board: intel DG31PR
