~$3000 PC Build (Water-cooling plans for the future) Advice needed

For the entirety of my gaming "career" has been on second rate business computers and laptops capable of flash games and a few titles if i'm really lucky. To hell with this! I've finally acquired enough funds from a stable summer job, to afford a legitimate Gaming rig. So ive been trying to put a quality rigg together that will handle my needs(MAX settings on AAA titles with substantial frames and fluid movement and smoothness). With your help, id love to get one going.

Approximate Purchase Date: Next week or 2 depending on advice given by everyone here.

Budget Range: ~3000 before rebates, before shipping

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, video editing and rendering, Blu ray movies, internet

Are you buying a monitor: No

Parts to Upgrade: Complete scratch build

Do you need to buy OS: Yes, Windows 7

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Newegg, microcenter, ncix I'd love suggestions and reputation of stores

Location: Near Denver, Colo USA (summers are brutal ~90 F)

Parts Preferences: Intel, corsair, NZXT, nvidia

Overclocking: If possible and cool, Yes

SLI or Crossfire: If budget allows

Your Monitor Resolution: 1080p(might move to 1440p in future)

Additional Comments: I'm in love with the Phantom 530 and will get it once available. Max settings, high frames, cool, quiet. If at all possible I love pc themes that are red, white, and black. Id like to watercool (CPU and GPU) eventually so id like to be set on parts ahead of time so only watercooling parts need to be worried about. Until then, A water cooled CPU cooler looks nicer than any air cooler ive seen(id keep the the overclocking light until a custom loop becomes available) Id rather have a 3770k and 2 780' than a 3930k and one 780.

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: Crap gaming experience for years and i want to change that.
Thank you all very much for any response, it helps alot

With modern low power CPUs / GPUs I no longer see an advantage in water cooling.

You dont really need water cooling unless you want to get that last ounce of OC for which you need higher voltages, not really worth with the diminishing returns tbh. A good air cooled setup will work well enough. The fortress is one of the best air cooling cases and very compact and sleek looking. Add 3 180mm Air penetrator fans for intake and you really will have a cool system even with high OCs. The fans are relatively quiet for the CFM they provide and in addition the silverstone fortress ft02b has sound dampenind foam on the sidepanels etc to make them even mroe quiet.

As for the video card, you can go Titan if you are looking to play higher resolutions like 1440p in the future as you mentioned in your post. If not you can easily go with 1 (or 2, may need more Wattage on your psu if you decide to SLI) 780s, since the 780 will perform pretty much the same as a Titan if you OC it a bit. (The only thing the Titan will offer atm over the 780 is the higher VRAM, the perf is similar apart frm that). If you plan to play on 1080p you wont need anything more than 3gb. However at higher resolutions more vram will come into play.

I wasnt sure if you need a keyboard/mouse etc but there is still room in your budget if you want to add it.

Get i7-4770k+ gigabyte z87 ud4h combo from microcenter

Swiftech h220 gives you the option to expand the watercooling to the gpu. The pump is way stronger then other AIO-watercooling kits
