Hello,
I currently have a DDR2 mother board with 2 gb ram and 250 gb hard disk and Interl Core 2 Duo processor no graphics card...

I want to play new games like gta 5 (comming up on september :) ) also this pc hangs most of the times.. it gets irritating sometimes...

Should i increase the ram to 4gb and a new hard disk of 1tb and a graphic card?
or should i buy a whole new pc with DDR3 mother board? and 4gb ram , hard disk and a graphic card??

I am confused because if suppose i want to improve my pc again in a year or two .. then there wont be much that i can do with DDR2 right?? like i only have 2 slots, so 2 rams of 2gb each are gonna take up the space..

So whats ur suggesstion ???

i would suggest that you build a new one (build your own).
my brother was in a similar situation a few months ago.

with ddr2, they are more expensive and slower than ddr3 (although ram prices increased recently i believe)
and then, if you upgrade that ram you are still stuck with the old processor. AND if you decide to build a new one, you won't be able to use that fairly new ddr2 rams.

so build a new one, it will be a lot faster than what you have now, and less likely to fail unlike what you have now. so start saving, and HOPE that gta5 would be ported better (a lot better) than gta4. gta4 couldn't run properly at max settings even with high end parts

Um dun know bout that GTA 4 :p , would be playing GTA series for first time on my pc :p the ps3 game costs a lot to me .. and me n my 2 friends contribute and buy game for pc so its gonna be cheap for pc :p

And thanks for your sugestion .. would you like to recomend me what processor and graphics card and motherboard(only of gigabyte) should i buy ,, i dun want them to be too costly ..
I assume i might be able to afford 400 to 450$ (i.e. 20,000 Rupees)

your current build poses a lot of problems as far as upgrades. A quad core alone is too much to invest at this point in time so a rebuild is more in order. You system always starved itself for ram. that alone would have helped along the way..........

the 1024x768 monitor....... if you're not upgrading that too soon an APU build would be a place to start.

then you say you want to do another upgrade in a year or two........

and your PS is old and probably not up to task........

give me a while............. have things to do.

Okkk..
But I am not considering to change my mouse keyboard cd-drive , and my display monitor .. and i am not sure if i will upgrade in a year or two ..
And my budget is 400 to 500$ ...

I figure you would use your old case and you said you would use your old dvd-rom drive............ No HD included but instead put an SSD in the build. It's only a 120 but you could increase it to 256-ish if you wanted or just add a standard 7200rpm storage drive with it. Personally I think the platter drives are fast becoming obsolete and would add a second SSD for more storage if needed. ( I do now ). HD's are useless after using an SSD. anyways at 1024x768 this should be plenty....... $445.00 U.S.
