Mabbie88CX :
I have a Seagate external hard drive that I cannot access now. This problem is that I cannot find it in My Computer and can see it in Disk Management. When I plunge it, the computer always asks me to format it firstly. What’d wrong with it? Do you have any idea? Thanks very much!
Did you tried this?
Right click on your hard disk in the disk management ,
click on Change Drive letter/Assign drive letter or something equivallent..
And then give it a drive letter ..
sometimes that doesnt works if the hard disk has some problems ..
You can try to connect it to some other pc , and then click on "Scan device for problems" when asked for it (only in windows 7)
You will be fine then , do not format it , its not needed unless u tried conecting it and scaning in 2 to 3 pc's
