Its that time again....Upgrades, Now im not listing my CPU or Mobo to avoid another Intel vs AMD war......But those components, im fine with and don't need updating, But I do need new ram, im at 1600Mhz and was thinking going with 1866MHz, I hear faster is better for the CPU, I have crucial ram at the moment and want to go with Mushkin I hear good things with Mushkin (Open to other brands) and with only 6 GB and I know that 8 or 16GB is like the new standard now in days, I also need a SSD I think Hdd are old school now but there still useful in storage, Now video card NVidia or AMD, I hear AMD new 8000 series is around the corner but how close, So should I got with an 7870 or a GeForce GTX 660 2GB (Limited to $200 don't want to spend too much in a GPU and only going single card)

Any Input would be appreciated Thank you!!!

It has already been revealed and Nvidia won't be releasing any more GPUs for the

next 3 months, because they want to wait for AMDs answer.

OP, 8GB is ideal and so is 1600Mhz. A Samsung 840 is one of the best SSD series, so check that out.

I currently have 6Gb of ram, So should I go with 8GB or stay with 6GB, I feel that my Ram Spd (1600) is slowing my system responses, If you guys think 6GB is not enough for gaming should I go with 8GB of 1866 or 1600? Also im using triple channel Memory on a board with 4 slots of dual channel, Can this be slowing me down too?

So the GTX 760 it is, BTW is there any rumors on price, My budget for a new GPU is only at $200 or below, No higher!!!

I think the board would be more optimized for dual channel. Which lends itself to getting

2x4GB 1600Mhz RAM. Then you'll both get a little upgrade to land yourself in the RAM sweetspot

for gaming and you'll be able to take advantage of dual channel speeds. If you want to go higher than

1600Mhz, be my guest. But don't come back and bemoan if you can't sense a difference; yet paid a price preimum.

Thanks I thought the triple channel Mem would be slowing me down, OK so 8GB of 1600MHz it is, Thanks for letting me know there no difference in 1600 and 1866, that would of gotten me mad not to gain performance Difference from 1866 to 1600 lol, So should I stick with the same brand or should I try Mushkin I hear there good and any word on that GTX 670 price tag yet!!!!

No problem.

There's lots of higher frequencies than 1866 too, but they're more luxuries/waste than much else usually.

You're welcome to try out Mushkin. Then you'll get some experience with them too. Corsair Vengeance, G.Skill

and so forth, are also reputable brands. And you mean the GTX 760. As for its estimated price: $249-$299
