I installed Advanced x64Components codes for my copy of Windows 7 64 Bit Ultimate in the hope it would help me display thumbnails for HKV files. After the installation, some error message popped up. Now, instead of viewing thumbnails (no change), I can't import MOV files into After Effects despite being able to before. I have no idea how to uninstall them, I looked for it under "Add or remove programs", and I also looked for a "unistall exe" but I didn't find either.

PLEASE HELP!

Thumbnails are usually associated with the exe of the porgram used to run the file or a dll that has a librabry of icons much like shell32.dll that has all the windows icons like for the toolbar icons etc.
HKV or rather MKV, is related to DivX, you could install a free version of DivX and the asscociation would be automatic as per the option setup.
MOV is Quicktime (Apple) association.

Uninstall features are located in the APPDATA folder, if it is actually uninstallable. I'm a bit surpirised that it did not appear as an item in the Control Panel, though.

As per this link win7codecs you need thw in7codecs prior to the install of the x64components but the win7codecs is full of bloatware but only upon selection of options (as is with most utilities and programs created after 2009, anyhow).
