hello, i' m about to update my sound system and i need to connect my keyboard wich has only 1 midi cable to an audio card. recently i' ve seen a lot of audiocard but they are missing the midi port, but this problem could be solved by a midi/usb converter cable from the keyboard to the external audio card (unless somebody knows some issues about this). my goal is to have a low latency and also i need to be sure that the sound card i buy will be able to fully maximize the potential in terms of quality of sound of
some 150-200€ headphones. do you know anysound card that will do the job? possibily i would avoid buying a dac for increasing quality, a sound card with a good built in dac and maybe even amplifier. thanks a lot

ps. my computer spec are 2.1 ghz, windows xp, 2gb ram.

I've never heard of external audio interfaces that don't support MIDI-input but if so a conversion cable is no problem.
When buying headphones check if they are 80 or 250 Ohms. For the latter you do require a reasonable PCIe or external audio interface.
