Hello, I'm a gamer and in need to look for a better wireless modem router for gaming. Which means a modem router with no lag spikes, and no random disconnects. Can anyone recommend one? thanks.
My favorite is the Asus RT-N66U Dark Knight router it's Broadcom based and allows you to use other firmware like TomatoUSB. My next choice in line and one of the ones I have is the Asus RT-N56U. Also look have a look at the Linksys/Cisco EA 4200 v2 or a EA 4500. Cisco always has good deals on refurbished routers here: http://store.linksys.com/products/linksys-outlet-refurbished_stcVVcatId543906VVviewcat.htm

Is this the EA 4500? I found this at my local retail site http://www.pbtech.co.nz/index.php?z=p&p=NETLKS1953441&name=Linksys--EA4500-Dual-Band-N900-Smart-WiFi-Router-w.
And is this a Modem Router, or just a Router?
