I was trying to get rid of some krazy glue residue on the area in front of the power button on my HAF 922 case (I applied it to a Corsair logo sticker that kept peeling off at 2 corners).

To remove the glue, I tried acetone nail polish remover, then tea tree oil, then alcohol swabs, none of which worked. It did remove some of the black finish on the plastic though, about a 1.5 x 1.5" area. I could cover it up with a sticker but the glue residue would still be there.

How can I remove the residue without damaging the plastic further? And also what type/shade of black paint should I use to restore the finish?

I think if you really want the same color over the whole case you need to re-spray the hole case I'm afraid of.
Ofcourse you could just hope that it's the same color but for plastic I think you should spray it
