Enabling SLI disables secondary displays

Hi,

Funny one this, when I enable SLI it disables the all displays apart from the primary display. This was working perfectly until I upgrade the mobo / cpu from ASrock Z77 extreme 6 (i7, 2600) to ASrock Z87 extreme 6 (i7, 4770k).

I've done the following -
Upgraded the mobo bios
Changed SLI bridges (although SLI does seem to work with one display)
Reinstalled the drivers (have not fully uninstalled them yet)
Tried putting all the monitors into one card
Powered off / on all monitors

Any ideas / seen before?

That's odd, sometimes when I disable CF my second monitor turns off. Anyway, when you enable SLI and the side monitors go off can you get into the NVIDIA control panel and change the monitor configuration? You've probably tried that but didn't list it. As far as I know, you should have all monitors plugged into the top card.

The recommended way and the way I had it before is for the monitors to be plugged in DVI over the 2 cards. It's really odd problem. I've reinstalled all the drivers (after uninstalling) still getting the same problem. Worked fine on the previous mobo...

So my configuration

GTX680(1) dvi -> monitor1
GTX680(1) dvi -> monitor2

GTX680(2) dvi -> monitor3

This worked previously on my old mobo and is as per the recommendations on the Nvidia website.

With the above configuration monitor1 & 2 are active. When I try and enable monitor3 with SLI enabled
I get the message "Only one diplay can be used when SLI is active".

If I enable just monitor3 and try and enabled monitor1 & 2 I get the message "When sli is enabled only one gpu in the sli group and drive displays.
To use two displays, connect them to the same gpu." This message "seems" to be incorrect as I'm following the Nvidia guidelines.

I can plug all 3 monitors into one GPU (2 x DVI, 1 x DP) and enable SLI. BUT this won't let me configure any surround options i.e. the 5896 x 1080 resolution, as soon as I click on it, it disables (greys out) 2 of the 3 monitors.

The DP is for running a fourth monitor, for surround you need to use the DVI's or HDMI's, I only use two monitors but to have the second one displaying temps whilst gaming with SLi enabled both cards have to be connected to the primary card and Aero has to be disabled.

I know DP is for connecting a fourth monitor, just doing testing. As per Nvidia's website -
http://www.nvidia.co.uk/object/3d-vision-surround-requirements-uk.html#setup
(click on the connector table).

I have them all connected via DVI (over 2 cards), this only valid configuration according to the website.

Even connecting them all into 1 card (2 x DVI and 1 x HDMI) does not let me enable SLI AND Surround, I must be missing something obvious as SLI and Surround go hand in hand.

I'll double check the everything into one card (although the Nvidia website says it's invalid) and disabling Aero for peace of mind.
