Hey there!

I'm having trouble finding some benches on that matter:

I'd like to run 3way eyefinity on 1080p on a single GPU. Would a 7950 boost be able to run World of Tanks with at least medium settings on it?

I would run other more GPU hungry games on single Screen, so it's just World of Tanks on eyefinity.

If your going to go more than 2 screens, i advise you to always choose an AMD card. These have alot more ram so they can handle more screens better than NVIDIA cards. Something like a 7950 or 7970 should do the job quite well.

Because he said, more GPU heavy on a single screen, if he gets the GTX 780 more likely he will use three all the time :)

well, from what i understand, he prefres smoothness over three screens, and i think even with a 780, he wont be able to play many games on max settings 3 montiors smooth.

my suggestion is still getting 1 770( which will also be much cheaper) it will give you the option to play World Of Tanks on three montiors, and other gpu heavy games, you will be able to play smoothly on 1 monitor. 780 is only about 15% better then 770, so dont expect to run many gpu hungry games smoothly on 3 screent with it.

Honestly, they should have just named it " mini titan", much cooler then 780.

Using multiple screens at a time, you will need alot of memory which is why if your choosing a 770 or 780 - 2,3,4 GB model its going to cost a fortune even at this point of time. You could simply just get a Sapphire VaporX 6GB Ghz Edition which will perform better with multiple screens because of the amount of memory it has. It even cost cheaper at this point of time. The story would be totally different if he was using 1 screen though

thanks for the answers!

it still Looks like a tie between gtx 770 and Radeon 7970 to me :D i guess if going nvidia i really need a 4GB model, so it's basically:

XFX Radeon HD 79970 GHz Edition, http://geizhals.at/xfx-radeon-hd-7970-ghz-edition-fx-797g-tdfc-a827777.html for 348€
Gigabyte GTX WindForce X3 Oc, http://geizhals.at/gigabyte-geforce-gtx-770-windforce-3x-oc-gv-n770oc-4gd-a957527.html for 416€

is a gtx 770 worth those ~70€, especially since there is this awesome "never settle" game bundle on the Radeon 7970 ?

thanks for your help so far, i really appreciate it :)

Edit:
the next thing that keeps me struggling is: altough i don't plan to, there's still the possibilty that i might crossfire/SLI in the future to play other games on eyefinity/surround, which would definitly favour a GTX 770.
BUT: since ps4 and xbox one both have an AMD GPU, isnt' there the possibility that games will run smoother on AMD GPUs because of driver optimization?
