Hi there,

I want to build a new PC but I don't know which processor I need to buy. I want an AMD a8-5600k or an fx one. I'll run them with a 7850. I'll use this PC for gaming like crysis 3. I'm not going using it for video rendering. And I'll multicast with it

Regards,

More about : amd series series

Since you have/will get a 7850, you must go with the FX route. Crysis 3 is a dam cpu and gpu killer. The fx processors will be able to handle it better than the a series ones. And if it's possible, go with a 7870 or higher. The better the gpu. the better the game will run.

Then i'll go with the fx-6350 :)  (the 8core is running to hot 100°C )

the fx-6300 would be enough and aTDP of 95W whereas the fx-6350's TDP is 125W

But the 6350 has an clock speed of 3.9 ghz and the 6300 has 3.5 ghz. The 6350 is only 10 euro more

and 30W more TDP,if u can get a aftermarket cooler like cooler master hyper 212 EVO then go for the fx-6350

That water cooler should be enough, just make sure you have 2 fans on it with a push/pull setup to get the most out of it.

yes i heave 2 fans. But the stock amd cooler is made for that cpu right. So why it's not working? (I know an aftermarket one is better)

And the stock cooler will do the job to. The tems with the stock where at 50 so it works :)

The stock cooler is noisy and not nearly as good as a relatively inexpensive aftermarket cooler.

EDIT: The stock cooler is "just enough" where better coolers can keep your temps down. 50C is actually high for an AMD CPU, you want to see it run in the 40s consistently and only under load hit 50+. Thermal limit for AMD CPUs is 62C, so be mindful of your temps.

Than i'll just put in the water cooler

because they are when you don't have a descrete gpu and it is also marketing.

I'd too say FX-6300, but rather than pairing A8 with discrete graphics, (if going FM2) consider the Athlon II X4 750K ($75-85).

try intel platform like i5 or i7 if you can
if you still want AMD i recommend Phenom x3 BE or x4 BE and overclock it (in x3 you can unlock 4th core and get quad core processor) trust me it's not bad a choice.

Don't feed the trolls...just ignore the ignorance of that post. They go back to their bridge quicker that way.

Wait for the next generation A series which will be coming out this fall. I, too, am an i7 owner who is just interested in trying AMD's APUs but I don't think the current line up is good enough for gaming yet.

I'll go on vacation for 2 months so i'll wait for that. does it have the same chipset?

Next generation APUs will use the yet-to-be-released A88X chipset. Motherboards have already been touted with A88X and they will probably be on the market shortly before the launch of Kaveri.

Also, one of the best vacations I ever had was one where I knew there would be computer parts that I ordered waiting for me back home. Enjoy your trip!

If next gen. apu's also comes up soon then also it would have some restriction for the discrete ones like 5000k/6800k only upto hd6670.
get the fx instead.
