Hello,

my pc has AMD Athlon II x2 250 3.0Ghz processor with NVIDIA Geforce 6150se nforce 430 video adapter.
I have 2GB DDR3 Ram.
I am using Windows 7 Ultimate (32-bit).

Total graphics memory - 895 MB
Dedicated video memory - 256 MB

Games like Counter Strike - condition zero, IGI 2, COD 2 are running very very slowly on my pc at 1360x768 resoultion, they run slightly better at 800x600 resolution, but still very bad.

And I have found a strange problem, when the game starts it works fine.. it loads very fast, but it just gets slow when game actually start.

One more thing, Windows Media Center and Photoshop are also running too slow. Photoshop starts fast but while drawing any shapes it works slow.

Is my graphic card too much bad for running these games ? if not then please help me :(

First off the Nvidia Geforce 6150se appears to be video solution that is integrated on your motherboard and it's not really a video adapter for gaming. You'd be better off upgrading to another GPU for gaming.

The nVidia Geforce 6150se 'integrated' video chip is nearly 10 years old.

There is no dedicated memory associated with the chip (unlike the AMD integrated 'sideport' video memory) as the 6150 shares system memory with all other processes. If I recall correctly, the maximum amount of shared system memory is 256MB. In this case, dropping back to 128MB may be of some limited marginal benefit.

Your CPU is decent and should have no issues if you decide to upgrade your video. This smells like an OEM rig so it is highly likely that your power supply will be the limiting factor in the upgrade question.

I know its outdated, but i am not playing big games like COD MW or any other, i just want to play small games like Counter Strike and IGI, atleast they must run smoothly.

my shared system memory is 650 MB. So, I need to upgrade my graphics card to play these games ?

It would help you quite a bit.

2GB of RAM on Windows7 is essentially the minimum, and you are sharing a large portion of it with your video subsystem.

Something like the Sapphire Radeon HD 6570 1GB would work well for you as it does not require a power connection --- if you are in the USA here is one for $40 after rebate from NewEgg
