I bought an Asus p8 z77 mb and installed it into my Nzxt switch 810 case. I came accross a problem when i tried to attach the Hd sound cable from the case onto the mb, it doesnt seem to seat correctly and ends up falling out. Is there something wrong with the sound cable or is it something im doing wrong? Thanks for the help!

If it works while it is plugged in then none of the pins are bent or broken and it's probably the connector itself. Is there any tension on it when it's plugged in? Do you move the case frequently ? I have an Asus Z77 board and I've never had that problem.

How do i test to see if it works? None of the pins are bent or broken. It wont go flush with the motherboard, it takes too much pressure to push the connecter onto the pins. Its kinda hard to explain.

My bad I thought it would plug in and then later fall out but you meant that you never got it to seat correctly and have never got it to work. Right?

The audio cable from the front panel fits onto a 10-1 pin connector {9 pins and one empty space}at the very bottom left corner of the board underneath the digital audio connector. The digital audio is something else entirely it is a 4-1 pin connector{ 3 pins and one empty space}.
Just make sure the 10-1 is not upside down, it will only plug in if lined up correctly.
