I currently have a Linksys e4200 v1 wireless router that I have flashed to dd-wrt to run my vpn client on. This allows me to connect my Apple TV wirelessly to the VPN network and stream MLB.TV for my local team (otherwise I am blacked out due to location). That said, I would like to place a switch (Linksys SE2500) between my modem and the router so that I may connect my pc directly to the switch and then be able to easily turn the VPN access on and off on the PC only to in order to increase my speed. From what I've read, this should be relatively easy.
Now to my question. My wireless printer connects to the router. I assume that my other wireless devices (IPAD, phones, laptops, etc) that can currently communicate to the printer through AirPlay will not have any problems connecting in this new scenario. However, will my PC that will be running off the switch, be able to communicate with the printer directly or do I need to change some configurations on the wireless router? If so, can someone explain how I will go about configuring this setup?
