sapphire radeon 5850 hd no display

I just built a new computer. I am using
Saphire radeon on 5850 HD
As rock 990fx extreme
850 watt power supply

Now when I try to boot all the lights and fans come on (even the fan on the video card). But nothing will display on my screen. I have check and rechecked my cords to make sure they are plunged in.

I have used this card before in my old computer so I know it works.

Any one have any suggestions?

Try to make sure all of your power connectors are connected to the motherboard also, like the cpu fan, the ones next to the cpu, and the ones near the sata cables, all of them have to be plugged in or your motherboard wont be able to function properly, If this helped, Select as best answer please!

Try re-seating the graphics card. Disconnect everything and pull it out. Then put it back in the slot and reconnect everything. Sounds a bit weird, but I came across a similar issue for an old hard drive controller card I had way back. This also solved a problem with a couple of friends' video capture card and sound card.
