Hi, I've had my Acer Aspire M5810 for over 2 years now and lately I'm having problems when playing games. When playing GTA IV it sometimes gives me a black screen and then the PC reboots. I installed SpeedFan today and it the GPU (Nvidea Geforce GT220 1024mb) gave me temperatures of 106°C while playing. The GPU does have a fan as you can see here: . I thought it might be dust collecting on top of it, and there some indeed, but not that much: . I hope you guys could tell me what the problem is and maybe help me out.

Specs:
Acer Aspire M5810 (64-bits)
Windows 7 Service Pack 1
6,00GB RAM
Intel Core i5 CPU 750@2.67GHz
Nvidea Geforce GT220 1024MB

Does the GPU fan spin normally? If it's not a fan problem it could be a GPU problem. In either case you have a perfect excuse to spend on a modest upgrade now! :p

I checked and yes, the fan spins normally. And you're right about that update :p ! I could use it... But I would still like to try to fix it!
