As title says, i`m encountering this problem :

Everything seems right in place but when I monitor the AMD overdrive, the HT link and CPU frequency skyrockets occasionaly, for 1 second, to immense values.

This seems to cause framerate drops in any game, with any configurations.

Furthemore, i tried limiting the HT link, underclock the CPU, didnt work.

Any ideeas ? PSU not supplying correctly ?

New record : HT link jumped to about 93000Mhz for 1 sec, and CPU seemed to follow for arround 43000 mhz

Im using msi 990xa-gd55 with amd fx-8350 stock clocked and undervolted to 1.15 volts.
All other programs i use to monitor cpu freq show the cpu as running as it should, but i have used this exact version of AoD 4.2.6 for awhile now and now its gone haywire.

Friends don't let friends use AOD
or MSI motherboards for AMD for that matter..but it looks like that's a done deal :)

Well that's kinda mean. I like AoD, as a monitoring program. Learned long ago bios OC is the only way to go. And what's wrong with amd on MSI? Has plenty of power for CPU and vrm stays very cool even at high OC's like those around 4.9-5.2 ghz

Ok I have solved the problem at least in my case. I had a couple of viruses from god knows where and decided that my scanner and remover wasn't doing the job right so i just formatted my drive and started fresh and low and behold no more random readings from AoD. i had tried all other things even tested my motherboard, psu, ram, everything and nothing came back as bad so i think it was virus related and a clean install had solved my problem, Maybe it will work for you? Depending on how much it bugs you it might be worth doing.
