This is my friend's first computer build and I would like to get your opinions on it if its good/great/bad or if it doesn't work.

MOBO: GIGABYTE GA-970A-D3 ATX AMD MOBO
CPU: AMD FX-8350 4.0GHz 8-core CPU
RAM: CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB 2x4gb RAM
GPU: GIGABYTE Radeon HD 7870
HD: Seagate 1TB 7200 RPM SATA HD
PSU: CORSAIR CX600 600W PSU
CASE: COOLER MASTER Storm Scout ATX Mid case

Accessories: COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 120mm CPU Cooler
COOLER MASTER 120mm Red LED case fan

My main concern is about the motherboard if it's good enough to handle everything and if I'm missing any other parts. Thank you guys!
I can include links to the products if wanted.

It is a decent mobo, but if you ever want to overclock, I would suggest getting a 990fx mobo, such as this:
