I just purchased a i5-4670k CPU and am looking for a air cooler for it. I really was thinking about getting the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo but some websites say its compatible with the 1150 socket and some say its not. Anyone know for sure?

And if not the 212, then a suggestion?

I wonder why Cooler Masters website doesn't even have it listed. How strange.

They probably have not updated it.

Taken from another thread, a moderator clarified that YES, the 212 EVO is Socket 1150 compatible. However, depending on how much you plan to OC it, the 212 EVO may not be sufficient.

Alternatives:
Phanteks PH-TC14PE
Thermalright Silver Arrow
Noctua DH-14

I am not an OC'r and dont have Haswell so i have no direct experience but from research any of those will allow for decent OC. I would go with phantec though, has been said to cool better.
