hi again guys,
i need your opinion on this one.

i am building a rig and i'm wondering if 750 or 850 for 2 gtx690

one 690 will need 300W = a total of 600 system power
so if there are 2 300w = 750? or 850?

i have 2 options on hand.

Seasonic X-series which are about the same price with corsair here in our country, but they on a fully modular PSU.
Corsair HX series are on a semi-modular.

Seasonic X850 vs Corsair HX850
Seasonic X750 vs Corsair HX750

any help will be greatly appreciated..
thanks a lot..

:) :) :)

Solution
Quad-SLI do not scale well. If you have not yet bought the cards, I would suggest you buy GTX 780 SLI instead.

But to answer your question, you will want 850W at least. Safer would be about 900W.

Yeah a thermaltake or corsair 1000W if you want to play it extra safe

thanks. i'll check the gigabyte windforce version, they come in cheaper than msi

Gigabyte version of the GTX 780? Sounds like a good choice. While a single GTX 690 will beat the GTX 780, GTX 780 SLI > GTX 690 Quad-SLI. Though, if you can get your hands on the EVGA GTX 780 with the ACX cooler, then buy it if it is not outside your budget. It is one of the top coolers.
