I'm about to build a new pc and was wondering if anyone could give me some advise on ether better parts or problems i may face with these components. Yes i am thinking about water cooling and overclocking but at a later date. I have built a pc before but i im prone to hardware mistakes so please point out flaws.

I dont need advise on Hard drive/SSD or optical drive

Okay I have quite a bit to say so bare with me please.

With your motherboard I wouldn't purchase either. Both are at a price point that doesn't really offer that great of a product with Haswell. This isn't the normal deal from ASUS's ROG line however its a fact. Here is a link to top ROG board from ASUS this time around its not far off from the one you are looking at scratch a few features but essentially the same board.

What I would suggest is something like the MSI Z87 GD65 its been highly recommended by quite a few people won awards at computex and is considered an amazing value given its price range, given its features, and given its aesthetics as...

IF you are doing professional work I can see the justification for a i7 4770k however if you are not I would advise towards the 4670k. There just isn't enough distance between the two gaming wise to justify the additional cost you would put in towards that chip.

Memory wise I think you may be paying a premium for memory that may not be the best for you. Here is a 16 GB kit they have a 8 GB kit as well. What I like about the kit is that its fast enough anything really beyond 1600 mhz with Intel has diminished returns. Also, whats great about these modules is that they are lower profile then any other stick I've found they reach just above the 2nd latch pretty impressive if you ask me. If you are going for looks you can always go for the Corsair Dominator Platinum.

Now in regards to fans your and mine opinion may differ quite a bit but I'll give it my best. With fans I try to pick up premium fans. Meaning fans that perform not necessarily for looks or flashy lights which often times don't come with the same level of performance. If I were to go for lights I would do this. Since you are going water cooling I would get UV reactive tubing. I would use distilled water because its more pure then using the color solution that you can buy from the water cooling companies. And I would purchase Light strips.

Fans I would recommend to you.

RADIATOR/HEATSINK
Corsair SP120's for your radiator (very affordable come in a dual pack for the price of pretty much one Noctua fan) Available in Quiet and Performance packs I go with Quiet personally.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Order=BESTMATCH&Description=SP120&N=-1&isNodeId=1
Noctua NF-F12's for your radiator (expensive but worth it if you are willing to pay the premium)

SILVERSTONE Air Penetrator AP121-L AP121-RL 120mm Red LED Case Fan (comes with the LED color you want as well as the performance)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835220042
COUGAR 12CM Red LED Hydraulic (Liquid) Bearing Ultra Silent Fan 1200RPM, 64.4CFM, 16.6dBA
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835553010

CASE AIR FLOW:
Corsair AF120's, AF140's (The 120's come in a dual pack if you want however the 140's do not)
Noctua NF-S12A PWM 120mm Case Fan
COUGAR CF-V12H Vortex Hydro-Dynamic-Bearing (Fluid) 300,000 Hours 12CM Silent Cooling Fan

Graphic card wise I don't have an issue there I'd recommend EVGA only for the reason that you get that customer service and warranty from a company that excels at helping you out if something goes wrong with your card. If you go aftermarket cooling I would go with either ASUS with there DCUII cards or perhaps MSI when they release some of there more high end series lightning for example.

Thanks for the advise i just have to say though the link you sent me or the motherboard is the one i have said. I do agree that the msi looks slightly better for price but i have had problems with the them before and im probably going for the maximus vi extreme.
I agree with you on the 4670k probably would be better me .
I will reconsider the memory but probably not what you have suggested.
With the fans i was acually looking at the Corsair SP120 when i got your reply so i prob go with two of them one of the Silverstone, Air Penetrator but i prob stick with the nzxt 140mm and 200mmj ust cause they cheap and i only need one of each.
If you do think of anything else please just say.

I would look at the review from Overclock3D I just feel like for the price you aren't getting anything from the Motherboard you are interested in. You could always take a look towards Gigabyte if you wanted but I wouldn't touch ASUS overclocking wise TTL who is a water cooling guru had issues with the z87 rog boards. It goes beyond the look at least to me it would performance is lacking for a 250-300 dollar board. I'm not outside the thinking that a board company is amazing all the time. Hell I wish ABIT was still around I loved my ABIT boards, I've had MSI they do make good boards and have been improving, ASRock is good just hate there brown color scheme, and Gigabyte is good but there customer support is wonky.

And really the fans are up to you I just prefer performance fans I know the NZXT fans you are looking at are not performance fans they are more or less cheap case fan replacements to the ones you get with a case that won't push much beyond that.

Also with the 200mm fans look towards Cooler Master. I had a case that used 200mm fans the ones from NZXT are loud mofo's. And you can get red and or blue led 200mm fans with them. Dead silent push a ton of air. Edit: I guess NZXT has changed since I had last looked at there fans there 200mm fan series now has a silent series however the cooler master fan has the same specs at a cheaper price point.

I think the main reason i was drawn to the maximus is that is it has a reset button so if you f*** your overclock you can go back to factory settings also built in wifi. i know other companies do this but i have had asus before but i could do with a change and i do admit that some of the new msi boards look worth while.
I have to say with msi the overclocking looks easier due to the bios and i will probably do more research around boards but thanks anyway.

Oh ye do msi have a similar fetcher like a factory reset

Honestly, any true gamer at this point is taking advantage of LAN. You aren't going to get nearly as fast speeds with WIFI. And I would want something external whether it was a usb network adapter or a card if it was for wifi just a preference. Also, in terms of overclocking fail safes most motherboards now that you put money into have a cmos reset switch anyway. Also with the GD65 there is a go2bios button which basically goes straight to the bios computer could be off you press it and it goes. Its on the motherboard.

Personally I've had everything under the sun and I can say some boards are good some are bad but I never associate any with the company per say they all make great motherboards some better then others but you'll run across one that isn't good every now and then.
