Hello. I have an Asus laptop that has an a10 amd processor and a radeon 7730m graphics card. I understand that this is not the best gaming setup and is pretty "mid-range-performance". So, the problem is that the radeon 7730 is not being used at all for my Minecraft game. I get the same fps as my brother who has the same laptop as I do, but without the 7730m. I configured switchable graphics to hight performance for thus game, but it is giving me the same low fps. I do not know what to do and it is very frustrating. I have up to date drivers on everything including Win8. This is a very new laptop only 2 weeks old. Any help would be great. One thing for sure, this laptop should perform a lot better than what it does. I get 50 fps and should be getting upwards of 150-180. Thanks in advance!

Hi Spaniard, I Have the optifine mod and it does help. But I don't think Mc is mostly cpu. I used tio have a Samsung i7 with no discrete graphics, but traded it in to get the same thing but with a NVidia 640. It gave me 5 times the fps and I was getting 180 fps. But the wireless card broke and I got this new laptop. This 7730m is close to the NVidia 640 and ithink it shuld perform just as well. I still think mc is not utilizing this graphics card.

I am glad u mentioned GPU-Z because I have used that while playing. When playing the Radeon 7730m was not active, it was not heating up or anything. But, the other graphics card that is installed is heating up and as far as I can tell is the only one being ran. I am so confused I might just get a new laptop. VERY FRUSTRATING to have a computer that should perform much better than it does.
