Multiple computer issues

I wound up just putting this under Windows 7 because I'm not quite sure what the issue here is. A month or so ago my computer began to experience crashes. BSOD's, with the pagefault in nonpaged area error coming up. I would also find that game files and such would be randomly corrupted, and I'd have to use the launcher repair. About a week ago I couldn't even log in. The windows login page was there, but the background was black and the login part of the screen was gone. It still managed to say "Windows 7 Home Premium" and have the ease of access on the left and boot options on the right though... Not sure what happened exactly, but I assumed it to be an issue with the operating system since the BSOD error is usually registry related. I ram a memory test to be sure it wasn't RAM, and it did report a problem, but I couldn't view it since I apparently had to login to do so. I got a windows 7 disk and booted from it, but I immediately got an error. According to this post, which has the same error as me {http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-1634933/windows-encountered-problem-communicating-device-connected-computer.html} my hard drive is fried. Now I'm confused as hell. Is it my os, my hard drive, my RAM, what? All three? Something else? I need to know before I go and replace parts. The RAM has a lifetime warranty but not the HD...

Sounds like a hard drive failure, the operating system faults are a result of the failed drive. The page file is also on the hard drive so that is another indicator.

Make sure you back up your files as soon as possible, your hard drive could completely fail at any time.

I have no means to do such a thing as I can't get past the login screen. The only thing I'll regret losing on there are my Skyrim saves, but I'll live. It was a gaming computer. I guess I'll have to see if I can get the drive replaced, if not I'll have to buy another one. Thanks.

My laptop burner gives me Error code: 0x80004005 when I try to burn files onto discs. Haven't been able to for a while, or I would've run memtest86 and this sort of program long ago.

I wound up borrowing some one else's computer to burn it. I have the program running, but I'm not sure which tests to run. I have the Basic Long Test running at the moment... (This is Seatools btw)
UPDATE: Ran both short and long tests, and the drive passed... What else could it possibly be then? And does the drive passing this test necessarily rule it out entirely?

Well I wound up contacting someone who was a computer expert and we worked the problem out. For anyone having this issue, this was NOT my hard drive's fault. The problem was that the corrupted operating system was preventing the new one from being installed, and was making it impossible to uninstall. I wound up running a program called Killdisk to wipe my drive completely and then completed a fresh install. Thanks for those who tried to help me, though it's a bit unsettling that I nearly went out and purchased a new drive...
