Gigabyte Z87X-OC Power up Problem with AX860i

I have the Gigabyte MB Z87X-OC and the corsair AX860i PSU. When its all connected, the Motherboard will just not power up.
Its not normal, but I have to depress the OC Ignition button to the back before it will power up. Once booted, I can switch this off. If I shut the machine down again it will not power up until I depress the OC button again.
I emailed Gigabyte and they say this is not normal. However, they also said the PSU may not be compatible.
If I disconnect all the cables from the MB and press the Self Test, it fails.
If I disconnect one half of the 24PIN atx cable as its split in half, the self test works..

Anyone else having this issue with this Combo or either?

I just got my new build today with the same motherboard and PSU combo. Same exact problem. Flabbergasted. I tried using my friends Corsair AX1200i PSU thinking that was the problem. Nope. No power. I'm thinking my motherboard was DOA. Hopefully, it didn't fry the CPU as well. (i7-4770K) I'll be calling Gigabyte tomorrow. Let me know how it works out for you.

Yes I have been in contact with Gigabyte, and it they have said that Corsair do not adhere to the Molex Solid PIN standard..

I have a work around thought.. Press the OC Ignition button on the back of the motherboard next to the USB ports. This forces power to the board. It works fine, but on shutdown it keeps power to the board.

Selft test on the PSU should be done with all cables disconnected..

Gigabyte have recommended returning the board for a componet to be fitted or change PSU.
