Partslist:
Asrock 970 Extreme
Crucial Ballistix 8 GB 1333mz
PNY Nvidia GeForce 660
Seagate 1TB
Standard DVD drive
Corsair Builder Edition 600V
AMD FX-6300

So, after building it (my first build), I plugged it in to my monitor through the Graphics Card with A DVI cord, and turned it on. The system turned on, all 3 fans running (case fan, CPU fan, Graphics card fan), yet the monitor just went into power save mode. The monitor is set to the correct input, yet it shows nothing. I've tried everything I could think of, so I come running to you.

Thanks in advance I guess.

Hi

first check the PCI-E 12V connector is connected to the graphics card
( I have seen some that bootup but graphics driver gives a warning about no power cable other give a blank screen)

If the motherboard has a onboard graphics card
remove your PNY Nvidia GeForce 660
connect your screen to the motherboard video connector

and boot up

If this works look at bios options for default graphics output
PCI-E or internal

best of luck

I had this exact same problem a couple weeks back! What I did to fix it was plug in the tiny motherboard speaker (many mobos come with one) and then turned it on. According to how many beeps it made during the POST, I was able to pinpoint the problem. For me, it turned out to be that one of the RAM modules was in the wrong slot...
